Dr. K Royal

K Royal is a nurse turned attorney who also has a PhD in public affairs. This, in combination with her background, provides her a unique foundation from which to approach global privacy and cybersecurity law. Having been in privacy for years before it became a recognized career field - she has a wealth of experience and a rich professional perspective.

K has served as a consultant and advisor to many companies - from Fortune 50 to tech start-ups and she has served on the board of directors for quite a few non-profits. She is currently the Global Chief Privacy Officer and Deputy General Counsel for a global claims processor and teaches at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Although she is a licensed attorney, nothing she says on the podcast should be taken as legal advice and everything she says is from her and does not represent the views of her employer.
